The study aimed to observe changes in serum microRNA levels during the progressive stages of Parkinson's disease in rats using rotenone as an inducing drug. Rotenone, a pesticide, reduces ATP generation by inhibiting Complex I. After completion of treatment, blood was isolated from Control, EPD, and LPD and sent for small RNA sequencing. The sequencing was performed using the Illumina platform with a single read length of 50 bp.
