State fragility: Total_FSI — Fragile States Index total score (higher = more fragile), Fund for Peace. ESG: ESG_Global_Score (also esgglobalscore) — Country-level ESG composite (0–100), licensed provider (e.g., Refinitiv). gefbenefitsindexforbiodiversity: Global Environment Facility (GEF) Benefits Index Resource rents: Rent_dependency — Total natural resource rents (% GDP), World Bank WDI. Macro controls: GDP_Per_Capita, gdpgrowth, Inflation, Trade_openes (% GDP), WDI. Governance: gov_mean — Composite governance (average across WGI dimensions). Derived variables: Logs/squares (loggdppercapita, loggdppercapita2, ln_Total_FSI, FSI_sq, ESG_sq), lags (L_Total_FSI, lag_ESG, lag_BIOD), first differences (diff_Total_FSI, diff_L_Total_FSI), within-demeaned (fsi_within, trade_within), and the interaction TradeGov. Notes: Stata estimation artifacts (_est_fe, _est_re, resid) are included for replication of model diagnostics but are optional for descriptive use.
