METHODOLOGY OF PREPARING STUDENTS FOR SOCIO-CULTURAL ACTIVITY

Abstract. The article examines the pedagogical foundations and practical mechanisms through which higher-education students are prepared for participation in socio-cultural activity. The author argues that such preparation cannot be reduced to the transmission of factual knowledge; rather, it demands the deliberate cultivation of value orientations, communicative competence, and the capacity for creative self-realisation within a cultural environment. Drawing on a review of contemporary pedagogical scholarship and on the analysis of educational practice, the study advances a stage-based methodological model that integrates motivational, cognitive, and activity-oriented components. The findings suggest that the effectiveness of preparation rises markedly when learning is organised around authentic socio-cultural projects, when students assume the role of active organisers rather than passive spectators, and when reflective assessment accompanies every stage of the process.
