Campbelltown Green Army Team - Continued Improvement of Campbelltown's Threatened Ecological Communities - Stage 1

The project aims to continue to improve and protect biodiversity within key Threatened Ecological Communities within the Campbelltown Local Government Area such as Cumberland Plain Woodland, Shale Sandstone Transition Forest, River-Flat Eucalypt Forest and Sydney Turpentine-Ironbark Forest. This will be achieved through the control of Weeds of National Significance, noxious weeds, environmental weeds, removal of gross pollutant waste and revegetation activities. Participants will also undertake water quality monitoring using Council's water quality testing kits on a bi-monthly basis at Smiths Creek Reserve, Cook Park and Fishers Ghost Reserve and gain nursery related skills through training at Wollondilly Council Community Nursery. The project will also include works at a bushfire Asset Protection Zone to educate participants about bushfire management practices.
