Nascent entrepreneurship rate in Latin America and the Caribbean, by country 2020

In 2020, among selected surveyed countries in Latin America and the Caribbean, Panama had the highest percentage of population involved in setting up a new business, with 23 percent of respondents. Chile nascent entrepreneurship rate ranked second, amounting to nearly 20 percent. The nascent entrepreneurship rate refers to the percentage of population who are currently a nascent entrepreneur, i.e., actively involved in setting up a business they will own or co-own.
