Cockatiel microbiome Raw sequence reads

Given the wide distribution of Cockatiels as pets it is important to research on the biodiversity of bacteria associated with these birds. In this paper we describe the gut microbial diversity of three healthy adult cockatiels by the use of next generation sequencing and analysis of ribosomal 16S gene, additionally Cockatiel’s diversity is also compared with that observed in other herbivorous birds.
