In each region of the world, more women are not in education, training, or employment than men. On average, 31 percent of women globally are not in education, training, or employment while only 15 percent of men globally are not in education, training, or employment. The biggest gap lies within Central Asia and Southern Asia, where 45.5 percent of women but only 14 percent of men are not in education, training, or employment. Australia and New Zealand have the smallest gap, with only a 0.3 percent gap between the genders.
