Kerala Tuberculosis Unit Boundaries: A GIS Dataset of 77 Administrative Units for Public Health Surveillance and Spatial Research in India

Kerala Tuberculosis Unit Boundaries — v1.0.2 We are pleased to release the first publicly available geospatial boundary dataset for all 77 Tuberculosis Units (TUs) across all 14 districts of Kerala, India. What is included in this release 77 TU boundary polygons covering the complete state of KeralaProvided in Shapefile (.shp + associated files), RDS (.rds), and GeoPackage (.gpkg) formatsGeoreferenced to WGS 84 (EPSG:4326)The attribute table includes the TU name, district, and unique identifier for each unitData dictionary and methodology notes included in the folder Background Tuberculosis Units are administrative subdivisions under India's National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme (NTEP, formerly RNTCP) responsible for TB case detection, treatment supervision, and programme monitoring. Prior to this release, no publicly available GIS boundary dataset existed for Kerala's TUs, limiting sub-district spatial analysis of TB burden and programmatic performance.
