Longitudinal 16S rRNA stool data from the German LöwenKIDS intensified subcohort

The LöwenKIDS study is a German birth cohort from 5 study regions in Germany (Braunschweig, Hannover, Halle (Saale), Munich, and Bremen). Participants were recruited from 2015 to 2018 and have been observed from birth until 6 years of age. This dataset considers children out of an intensified subcohort where routine stool samples were collected by the parents 4 times a year within the first 2 years of life. Participants with less than 5 routine stool samples after quality filtering and rarefaction of the sequencing data, without accessible symptom diaries, with antibiotic treatment after having provided the last routine stool sample, or with contradictory information on antibiotic treatment in the symptom diaries were excluded in this dataset (n=162).
