Data and scripts: Reconsidering climatic predictors for high-resolution niche models of alpine plants

Scripts and data to reproduce analysis used in the paper "Reconsidering climatic predictors for high-resolution niche models of alpine plants", by Chytrý et al. 2025 -- Oikos. Contact person: Kryštof Chytrý, [e-mail] The repository includes the following folders.> `scripts`: numbered scripts that read files in `data` and store metadata also to `data` and modelling results into `outputs`. Scripts are tested on R 4.4.2 and 4.5, and it is possible to run them all through without additional data.> `data`: includes (1) original data (species composition: `spe_wide.csv` and raw soil temperature measurements `logger_data.csv`), (2) supporting data (`legend.csv` and `seasons.csv`) or metadata created during calculation (`bioclim_(...).csv` and `outputs_(...).csv`). Those also include the results of the baseline models.> `outputs`: includes figures created by scripts, TSS scores of models and model formulas of two predictor models.> `gap-filling`: the analysis is based on primary data that was gap-filled. This folder includes a description of the gap-filling procedure. > `Best_variables_correlations.pdf` is a correlation plot of the best variable set.
