Chronic interferon-gamma (IFN-γ) exposure to tumour cells drives resistance to immune checkpoint blockade therapy (ICBT) has been characterised as one of the resistance mechanisms. However, the detailed mechanistic insight remains unknown to which interactor promoting this phenomenon. We found out that chronic IFN-γ to tumour cells was fundamentally different and those genes upregulated only during chronic IFN-γ has shown to a lower survival of cancer patients treated with ICBT. Chronic interferon-gamma (IFN-γ) exposure to tumour cells has been reported to be one of the key drivers to one of the resistance mechanisms in immune checkpoint blockade therapy (ICBT). This study aimed to study the transcriptomic difference between untreated, short-term IFN-γ-treated, and long-term IFN-γ-treated tumour cells (YUMM2.1 and CT26 cell lines).
