SB 1000 Low Utilization Results (2026)

Senate Bill (SB) 1000 requires the California Energy Commission (CEC) to assess whether electric vehicle (EV) charging station infrastructure is disproportionately deployed by geographical area, population density, or population income level to inform EV infrastructure investments. The 2026 assessment evaluates access to public charging among EV owners who are less likely to have home charging.
