Global zinc consumption forecast by type 2021-2028

The global consumption of zinc for battery uses is expected to double between 2021 and 2028, from some 455,000 metric tons in 2021 to around 916,000 metric tons seven years later. However, the largest consumption volume of zinc is allocated for conventional uses, and is forecast to amount to some 18.75 million metric tons by 2028.
