This dataset adopts a pre-post test comparison design with experimental and control groups, aiming to systematically evaluate the application effect of "AI Teaching Assistant" in college ideological and political theory courses. The study relies on the course "Ideological Morality and Rule of Law" at Tsinghua University in the fall semester of the 2024-2025 academic year, selecting two classes as the experimental group and control group respectively: the experimental group introduced "AI Teaching Assistant" for teaching assistance, while the control group maintained the traditional teaching mode. The data collection period spans from September 2024 to January 2025, with two time points: the beginning and the end of the semester, and the total data volume is 161 KB. The spatial scope covers Tsinghua University in Beijing, with the spatial precision referring to the large-class lectures and small-group seminar classes of the "Ideological Morality and Rule of Law" course. This dataset comprises structured questionnaire data, which adopts the forms of Likert scale and multiple-choice questions. The questionnaires were distributed offline in a targeted manner, covering multiple dimensions including students' cognition of generative artificial intelligence, usage behavior, satisfaction, impact on teaching effectiveness, usage concerns and gains, as well as demographic information. In terms of data quality control, expert review and pre-survey were conducted to ensure the reliability and validity of the questionnaire. Data processing includes multiple steps such as data cleaning, coding, integration and verification. The data can be used to quantitatively analyze the actual impact of "AI Teaching Assistant" in ideological and political courses, providing empirical support for education management decision-making, teaching strategy optimization and AI education product improvement, and promoting the digital transformation of ideological and political course teaching and interdisciplinary research.
