Tourism and Local Labour Markets, 1990, Employee Sample

The project's aim was to increase the understanding of the economical and employment connections in the travel-business and the direct effects in the "overnight-stop companies". The project sheds light over the opportunities of the travel-business and the limits of the possibilities of employment in the districts. One has looked into how the recruitment of workplaces in the "overnight-stop sector" influences or depends on the size and structure of the local labor marked. A question which was shed light on was if the single workers situation, alternative possibilities of employment and the carrier plans influences the consideration of workplaces in the "overnight-stop sector". It was made a registration of all the 2913 conditions of employment in four selected employment office districts. In additional there was sent out a questionnaire directly to a selection of workers, 445 persons in all.
