资源简介:
Osteoarthritis (OA) is a leading cause of disability worldwide, often resulting in malalignment of the varus and valgus angles in knee. Knee-specific exercises (KSE) are commonly used in OA treatment, but there is growing evidence that musculoskeletal system functions within a myofascial chain. This suggests correcting the kinetic chain may have a significant impact on OA. Hence the study aims to determine and compare effect of KCCP and KSE in terms of Hip-Knee-Ankle angle (HKA), Frontal-plane-projection angle (FPPA), and functional disability in individuals with knee OA. The study concluded that KCCP, which targets the whole lower limb along with conventional physiotherapy proved to be beneficial treatment protocol for subjects with Knee OA showing better outcomes in comparison to KSE which targets only knee musculature.
