Identification of gene signatures that are associated with protection in RTS,S malaria vaccination study Overall design: Forty-six volunteers were randomly selected to receive either three full doses of RTS,S/AS01 vaccines or two full doses following by a delayed fractional third dose. All the volunteers underwent CHMI 3 weeks after the last dose and the protection against CHMI was evaluated accordingly. PBMC samples were collected on day of the 1st vaccination, day of the 3rd vaccination, day 1, 3, 14 post-the 3rd vaccination and day of challenge, and used for RNAseq analysis. Here we are trying to identify protection-associated gene signature induced by RTS,S/AS01 vaccination.
