资源简介:
A stereoview of carded wool production at West Alhambra, California, USA, taken by Philip Brigandi, Los Angeles, California, USA, circa 1915. The image shows a work next to a large machine that feeds carded wool from a chute onto a hardener, which steams and presses the material under heavy rollers. A barrel of unprocessed wool is in the middle foreground. At the bottom right is the caption describing the image. At the left is the series name "The California Missions and / The State of California." At the right margin is "Photographed, Copyrighted, and Sold by / Philip Brigandi, Los Angeles, Cal." On the center of the reverse is a stamp from the Contra Costa County Free Library in Martinez, California. Above that is the number "22" written in red ink. At the right edge is an ink inscription "Cal. - Ind. set No. 4 / Wool - 24 c. 2." With a large ink stain at the bottom right corner of the reverse, spilled over onto the front bottom left corner, slight abrasions at the bottom right corner of the front, and bulging along the top, the condition is good overall.
