Electromyography data for upper limb muscles of 35 female participants during cereal grinding using saddle quern and rotary quern. Saddle quern grinding was performed using reciprocal motion. Rotary quern grinding was performed using clockwise and anticlockwise rotary motion. Experimental grinding was continuous and each trial was around 20 seconds. Each trial was divided into cycles. One cycle of saddle quern grinding was one reciprocal to-and-fro movement. One cycle of rotary quern grinding was defined as one rotation. Data are mean cycles created by averaging at least three consecutive grinding cycles. Data are normalized to maximum voluntary contraction values.
