Salmonella Senftenberg genome sequencing and comparative analysis focusing on R-phase variation

This project aims to elucidate the genetic basis of the distinct z27 H antigen and its regulatory mechanism in Salmonella Senftenberg. We performed whole-genome sequencing on recent isolates with both common and atypical flagellar profiles. Using a hybrid sequencing approach (Illumina and Nanopore) for key strains, we will perform comparative genomic analysis to identify genetic variations associated with the z27 H antigen. The resulting genomic data will enhance our understanding of Senftenberg's antigenic diversity and provide insights for improving diagnostics and public health measures.
