Empathy in Peruvian Undergraduates: Responses to the Brief Basic Empathy Scale (BES-B)

This dataset comprises anonymized information from 775 students enrolled in public and private universities in Peru. Participants were recruited through convenience sampling, specifically using a snowball approach. The sample ranged in age from 18 to 47 years (M = 20.7, SD = 3.29). All participants provided informed consent before participation. The dataset contains responses to sociodemographic variables and the Brief Basic Empathy Scale (BES-B). The sociodemographic variables include age, biological sex, marital status, current employment, and place of birth, among others.
