Abundance of Dandelions Under Selected Ranges From a Major Road & Under Multiple Amounts of Litter

The abundance of dandelions was measured at three distances away from a major road (Keele Street), on October 19 and October 26, 2015, at York University, from 2:30 to 5:30 P.M. Weather conditions were partly cloudy, with a temperature of approximately 13 degrees Celsius. Quadrats were placed randomly at three distances: 3 - 15, 60 - 110, and 110 - 200 feet away from the main road. The dandelions (see metadata for species) found in each placed quadrat were counted, and results were tabulated and separated by their distance from the major road. The amount of litter and unintentional synthetic matter found in each quadrat was counted and recorded as well. woth each distinguiseable piece of litter counted as one (1) piece.
