Mediterranean Sea Physical Reanalysis INTERIM (CMEMS MED-Currents, E3R1i system)

The Mediterranean Forecasting System, physical reanalysis INTERIM dataset, is provided by means of a hydrodynamic model, supplied by the Nucleous for European Modelling of the Ocean (NEMO v3.6), with a variational data assimilation scheme (OceanVAR) for temperature and salinity vertical profiles and satellite Sea Level Anomaly along track data, assimilating Near Real Time Observations. The model horizontal grid resolution is 1/24˚ (ca. 4-5 km) and the unevenly spaced vertical levels are 141.
