The dataset is the original research project data for this paper. The data in folder under the name Figure 1 contains the single photoluminescence spectra for the perovskite materials. The data under names of ‘Fig_1b’ represent the photoluminescence spectra for BA2PbBr2I2 single crystals. The data under names of ‘Fig_1f’ represents the photoluminescence spectra of MAPbBrxI3-X single crystals. The data under the name of ‘Fig_1i’ contains the absorption data for BA2PbBr2I2 single crystal before and after photoexcitation. The data in folder under the name Figure 2 contains the X-ray diffraction data for BA2PbBr2I2 single crystals under constant above bandgap light illumination. The order of spectra in this dataset indicates the time evolution of illumination. The data in folder under the name Figure 3 contains the calculated energy barriers as a function of halide switching ratios. The data in folder under the name of Figure 4 contains the photoluminescence data for different BA2PbBrxI4-x compositions at different excitation powers. File names of Fig_4b, Fig_4e and Fig_4h contain time dependent photoluminescence data for BA2PbBr3I, BA2PbBr2I2, and BA2PbBrI3 single crystals. File names of Fig_4c, Fig_4f and Fig_4i contains the photoluminescence peak intensity tracking with different excitation powers for BA2PbBr3I, BA2PbBr2I2, and BA2PbBrI3 single crystals, respectively. All data can be directly opened from Origin with plots presented in the same files.
