<p>To the Commonwealth, </p><p>As I reflected on my year as the Acting Director of the Kentucky Geological Survey (KGS) during the 2023–2024 fiscal year, I have struggled to find a theme that captures the experience of this year for the KGS staff. </p><p>I finally realized: resilience.</p>
