Dataset of Candidate Microbial Strains for Bioactive Peptide Production in the VALORISH Project General Information This repository contains a curated collection of candidate microbial strains evaluated for bioactive peptide production within the VALORISH project. The dataset includes strain-level metadata, genome assembly information, physiological characteristics, and experimental prioritisation for downstream validation. Datasets Included Candidate microbial strains Description: Curated metadata describing microbial strains evaluated for bioactive peptide production, including genome assembly information, oxygen tolerance, QPS status, and experimental validation status. Sources & Licensing: NCBI GenBank Assembly: Publicly available genome assembly repository maintained by the National Center for Biotechnology Information. EFSA Qualified Presumption of Safety (QPS) List: Used as the reference for QPS classification of microbial species. File structure: candidate_strains_annotation_v1.0.csv: Curated metadata describing all candidate microbial strains included in the dataset. Usage and Attribution This dataset is freely available under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0), while respecting the licensing and usage terms of the original data sources.
