Recovery mechanism of methanogenesis during anaerobic digestion under extreme acid environment

This study elucidated the acid resistant mechanism of mesophilic AD with different substrate concentrations, which provides a deepened perception of the function, interaction and microbial characteristics of bacteria and methanogens during AD and will help in the development AD methodology for overcoming extreme acidic environments.
