COI DNA metabarcoding of butterflies from Ta Phin, northern Vietnam

COI metabarcoding data for the paper titled "Performance of DNA metabarcoding, standard barcoding and morphological approaches in the identification of insect biodiversity", published in Molecular Ecology Resources. We aimed to test the efficiency and consistency of detecting and identifying species through metabarcoding by performing metabarcoding of a sample containing 97 previously identified (via morphology) butterfly species.
