Metagenomic profiling of anammox startup under varying Fe(III) concentrations

This study sequentially added 0, 2.5, 5, and 10 mg/L Fe(III) to four sequencing batch reactors undergoing partial nitrification over the long term to initiate integrated partial nitrification/anammox reactions. Following successful startup, sludge samples were collected from all four reactors on Day 0 and Day 130 for metagenomic sequencing.
