NRS-18981 | Register of Admission [Wirrimah Public School]

The purpose of an admission register was to record basic details about children admitted to the school and their parents or guardians.  The register was also used to record the progress of the children through various classes and their date of leaving the school.The register is arranged chronologically. The early entries have a separate registration sequence for boys and girls. The information listed for each child registered is as follows: register number; date of admission; pupil's name; gender; date of birth; religious denomination; name of previous school and date of leaving; name, address and occupation of parent or guardian, date of admission to each grade; date of leaving the school; the name of the school to which the child transferred and/or and the occupation entered.Admission registers in paper format ceased in 1999 when the department moved to recording enrolment details in electronic format.The sole register at this school was used until the school closed in 2002.
