Mechanical forces are involved in pressure-overloaded cardiomyopathy. However, the transcriptional profile related to mechanical loading in cardiomyocytes is still not fully understood. Here, we investigated the genomic profile of stretched human cardiomyocytes using next-generation sequencing (NGS). Results showed that 85, 87, 32, 29, and 28 genes were differentially expressed after 1, 4, 12, 24, and 48 hours of stretching.
