The monitoring of water consumption in the Basque Country is driven by the Basque Water Agency, through the management of the Water Canon, aimed at protecting, restoring and improving the aquatic environment, collaborating with the competent administrations for the achievement of efficient supply and sanitation services, and obtaining interterritorial solidarity.The objective of the Water Consumption Statistics is to measure the consumption of natural water resources within the Basque Country, by quantifying and characterising the volume of water consumed, differentiating the different uses, as well as the different types of water supply.
