PARA: Paralinguistic Auditory Responses and Attention

This record contains the experimental materials developed for the PARA study, which investigates the effects of paralinguistic characteristics of background speech on attention. The archive includes the focused and diffused auditory stimuli, an HTML-based volume-control interface used to present and adjust the stimuli, and the reading comprehension materials used in the experimental protocol. The directory structure of the Audios folder should be preserved to ensure correct operation of the volume-control interface. These materials accompany the protocol “Investigating the Effects of Paralinguistic Configuration in Background Human Speech on Attention: Protocol for a Within-Subject Study”.
