Metatranscriptomics of natural groundwater surrounding a uranium roll-front deposit: Insights into in-situ recovery mining

we have explored for the first time the active microorganisms and their metabolic capacity in a roll-front environment by assembly and analysis of whole metatranscriptomes recovered from groundwater of three different redox compartments associated to the redox zonation of the roll-front system.
