Engaging the Aboriginal community to improve habitat condition and connectivity

The Narrung Peninsula contains a range of high conservation value assets including Nationally threatened species and large areas of remnant vegetation and wetlands. The peninsula is connected to the mainland by a narrow isthmus, and this island-like geography makes its biodiversity extremely vulnerable to climate change, particularly in its highly fragmented current state. This project will engage the Ngarrindjeri Communtity and local landholders to maintain and restore ecosystem function and improve ecosystem resilience to future climate change. The project will build upon the success of past and current projects which have delivered high quality, large scale on-ground works.
