Clostridioides difficile Raw sequence reads

Clostridioides difficile Infection (CDI) represents a significant and ongoing threat to the safe delivery of modern healthcare. C. difficile is difficult to eradicate from the environment and healthcare workers' hands due to its propensity to exist in spore form. To detect potential transmission events in a way that would permit early remedial action from our local Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) team, we established a simplified prospective genomic surveillance program in our laboratory using Oxford Nanopore Technologies (ONT) sequencing. This data represents C. difficile genomes collected from Wellington Regional Hospital in 2022.
