Uncharred wood from a drill hole about 43 feet below the ground surface into alluvium
adjacent to the Ogden River, Utah, was submitted for identification. The alluvium is believed to be
stream deposits of Wheeler Creek, a tributary to the Ogden river just downstream of Pineview
Dam. The wood was identified prior to submission for radiocarbon analysis.
