The IASI/Metop-B daily formic acid (HCOOH) total column dataset, described in [Pommier et al.](https://www.atmos-chem-phys.net/16/8963/2016/) (2016), relies on a fast approach based on conversion factors between brightness temperature differences and representative retrieved total columns over seven regions: Northern Africa, southern Africa, Amazonia, Atlantic, Australia, Pacific, and Russia. The dependence of the measured HCOOH signal on the thermal contrast is taken into account in the conversion method. The dataset is available on a global scale from March 2013 till present.
