SDO/AIA coronal loop imaging dataset with and without kink oscillations

High-resolution movies of solar coronal loops observed with SDO/AIA in the 171 Å channel. Files beginning with \"P\" contain loops exhibiting kink oscillations; files beginning with \"N\" contain stationary loops without detectable oscillations. Each sample covers a 260 × 260 pixel region over 30 minutes, preserving the original 0.6″ spatial resolution and provided as MP4 videos at 15 fps. The dataset includes 50 positive and 128 negative samples (~600 MB total). Positive samples are primarily from Nechaeva et al. (2019), with additional events (2022–2024) from an extended catalog (Zhong et al., in prep.). Selection criteria: Significant amplitude oscillations (decayless cases excluded) Well-defined loops or bundles with clear edges/centres ≥3 complete oscillation periods Negative samples were drawn from both limb and on-disk observations in active regions and the quiet Sun.
