Roman altar, Tresco, Isles of Scilly

This Roman altar, now in Tresco Abbey Gardens, was originally found in a well at Mount Holles on the island of St Marys. The urn and other rocks were cemented on when the altar was moved to the Gardens. The altar contains Mithraic-style symbology - an axe on one side and a cleaver on the other. It is otherwise uninscribed. This 3D scan is rather low-quality, captured opportunistically with an iPhone. It is possible that the faint markings of an inscription, or the beginning of one is visible, but this would warrant further investigation.
