LOS “AUTOMATISMOS DE LA CONVERSACIÓN”EN ESPAÑOL E ITALIANO A PARTIR DE UN CORPUS DE DISCURSO DE TIPO POLÍTICO-INSTITUCIONAL PARA LA MEDIACIÓN LINGÜÍSTICA

This paper aims to address a characteristic linguistic phenomenon within the framework of Linguistic Mediation, namely the “conversation automatisms”. These are conventional and ritualized linguistic structures generally used in the field of translation/interpreting in order to manage the flow of communication. Based on the theoretical and methodological approaches developed in Collados Aís and Fernández Sánchez (2001), we will carry out an analysis on this subject in relation to specialised languages, in particular to the political discourse. The conversation automatisms dealt with are drawn from a large corpus of political speeches and interventions delivered by the Spanish Prime Minister, Mariano Rajoy. Thus,after a brief analysis of the features of such text types, we will conduct a work of systematization. Our aim is to offer a linguistic classification of the formulas adopted in communicative contexts where political language acquires a formal and institutional side and has particular morphosyntactic, lexical and pragmatic features.
