Sightings and strandings of the large, rarely observed jellyfish; Keesingia gigas Gershwin, 2014 (Cnidaria: Cubozoa: Carybdeida: Alatinidae) in north-western Australia

The jellyfish Keesingia gigas Gershwin, 2014 was previously only known from the holotype collected off Dirk Hartog Island, Shark Bay in 2012, two underwater photographs and some anecdotal reports of envenomations. This dataset is the first survey to identify its occurrences both at sea or strandings. Data from the John K.
