Escherichia coli has been recently described the hypermucoviscous phenotype. Phenomenon analogous to those produced by Klebsiella pneumonia strains known to invade the liver. Likewise, this bacterial species has been described with resistance to colitin mediated by the mcr-1 gene, which is found in plasmids.. Genomic comparison of E. coli obtained from swine and clinical isolate

资源简介:
The hypermucoviscous phenotype is most closely associated with the virulence of K. pneumoniae strains, which cause a community-acquired invasive syndrome, including bacteremia, liver abscess, meningitis, and endophthalmitis. This study describes the hypermucoviscous phenotype of E. coli clinical isolate. The colistine resistance in E. coli has been described, in this study was carried a anlaysis of this resistance in strains obtained from swine and clinical isolates.
