Shotgun metagenomic sequencing of dysbiotic IL-10 KO murine fecal samples

Metagenomic sequencing of murine fecal samples in a time course experiment monitoring the recovery from vertically transmitted dysbiosis in IL-10 KO B6 mice. Fecal samples were sequenced at weeks 4, 6, 9, and 24 of age in dysbiotic and control mice. The dysbiotic mouse group originated from dams with exposure to cefoperazone antibiotic only during gestation and weaning. Mice in this experiment did not receive direct antibiotic treatment, ensuring vertically transmitted dysbiosis. Control mice were not exposed to any antibiotic treatment. At week 23, Dextran sulfate sodium (DSS) 2.5% was introduced into all groups drinking water until the end point of the experiment, inducing colitis in all mice.
