We organized and filtered over 2000 real-world bulk system blackout events, the corresponding daily weather data, and renewable (solar and wind) penetration levels across the 48 continental U.S. states from January 2001 to December 2020.Users can access the developed data set for all blackout information including the time and dates, event reasons, event intensities (duration, affected customer number, demand loss), weather conditions, and renewable penetration levels.
