Data for: Projected decline of primary production in the desertifying North Atlantic subtropical gyre during the 21st century

This repository contains OUTPUT files generated using a version of the DARWIN-SPEAD model, written in Fortran, that is freely available on Zenodo (doi: https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.15287624), published on 26 April 2025 by Sergio M. Vallina. The model simulations were executed on Ubuntu Linux using a 12th-generation Intel Core i5-12500H processor (4.5 GHz). The INPUT directory contains the model forcing fields, datasets used for model validation, and nitrogen fields derived from external global simulations. The CODE directory contains MATLAB scripts for reading model outputs and generating figures, as well as a Python script for computing the mixed layer depth. A detailed description of the repository content (DARWIN-SPEAD-PTB_PPP) is provided in the README file.
