资源简介:
The 2019 IYS Gulf of Alaska Winter Expedition - the first of three IYS winter expeditions - was a comprehensive ecosystem survey to study the winter ecology of Pacific salmon in the Gulf of Alaska. Spanning 30 days in Feb-March 2019 and nearly 700,000 square kilometers in the Gulf of Alaska, the expedition was conducted on a Russian research vessel with 21 scientists from Canada, Korea, Japan, Russia, and the United States. The team collected a range of ecosystem data including oceanographic measurements, zooplankton community composition and abundance, and the origins and abundance of salmon. More are described in the README. This dataset represents sampling which lasted 30 days in Feb-March 2019 and covered nearly 700,000 square kilometers in the Gulf of Alaska. The data focuses on metrics related to winter fitness, stable isotopes, and stock origin of the Pacific salmon sampled. The data set comprises two comma separated files exported from a Microsoft Excel workbook. The first file contains a summary of the 62 survey stations, or sets, sampled during the expedition. The second file contains a variety of data for the 412 individual Pacific salmon that were sampled for this project. The data fields are described in the README and methods section of the metadata record.
