Data for: Price Elasticities of Residential Electricity Demand: Estimates from Household Panel Data in Bangladesh

• The dataset used for the paper entitled “Price Elasticities of Residential Electricity Demand: Estimates from Household Panel Data in Bangladesh” is stored as in STATA (version14) .dta format and named as “finaldata_energyecon.dta”. All variables have their variable names labelled.

• STATA do file named “Analysis_energyecon.do” can be used to produce the main regression results reported in Tables 3, 4, 5, and 6, as well as Figures 1 and 2 in the paper.

• Matlab m file named “Policy_Simulations.m” can be used to produce the policy simulation results reported in Tables 9, 10, 11, and 12 in the paper. Note that the other four m files are “functions” that are required in the simulation analysis, and they have to be in the same folder with “Policy_Simulations.m.” Explanations about all the commands are included in each m file.
