资源简介:
This dataset contains 15 randomly picked .tiff image stacks from the data set from Mahecic et al., Cell Reports (2021), deposited in Zenodo (DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.4648097). The filenames here correspond to those used in the original publication. These movies are time-lapse SIM images of COS-7 cells transiently transfected with mito-GFP (gray) and mCh-Drp1 (red), with a resolution of ~100 nm. Here, for every movie, we drew perpendicular lines to the mitochondrion axis on the two mitochondria segments flanking a Drp1 cluster a few frames preceding fission, using Fiji. The mitochondria are labeled as Mito 1 and Mito 2. The movies here display the lines and the labels we used, otherwise they are identical to the original data. In the accompanying Excel file, the measured diameters at the marked positions and frame numbers are presented, as well as the difference in diameters, the fate of the Drp1 cluster after fission, and which of the mitochondrion segment recoiled more strongly upon fission. In six cases, the difference in diameter between Mito1 and Mito2 exceeds 100 nm, and in all of them, the thinner mitochondrion recoils more strongly.
