Pot experiments were conducted by growing cut chrysanthemums with the wilt diseased soil undergoing monocropping of chrysanthemums for 12 years (up to 2022) in the experimental base of Haifeng Flower Co., Ltd. in Shaoxing City, Zhejiang Province, China.Four treatments included: (1) CK, control; (2) BM, Bacillus subtilis addition alone; (3) BC, biochar addition alone; (4) BM_BC, Bacillus subtilis and biochar co-addition. Each treatment had three repetitions, yielding a total of 12 pots.The soil samplings happened at the flower bud stage of cut chrysanthemums. The rhizosphere soil was sampled by pulling out chrysanthemums plants from soil and then carefully shaking off the soil attached to the roots by about 2 mm, and collected the dropped soils as rhizosphere soil.
